DESCRIPTION:Join us on a HISTORY AT SUNSET WALKING TOUR   a free & family-friendly program discussing historic places and events related to the Petersburg Campaign of the Civil War.  \n\nBy June 1864\, the residents of Petersburg had endured the strain of faraway war.  Everything changed when the war came to their doorsteps. Discover how the people of Virginia's second largest city experienced\, adapted to\, and persisted through an unimaginable ordeal.\n\n        All programs are free and open to the public.  Programs are 60-90 minutes and require a small amount of walking. Drinking water and comfortable shoes are recommended. All programs are subject to cancellation due to weather or other issues. Check Petersburg National Battlefield's Facebook page for updates (@PetersburgNPS). For more information please call (804) 732-3531.
