About Us

Our Chesterfield Branch may be in a new location, but it began in 2015 with a Loan Production office on Courthouse Road. The success of that effort led to the full banking branch that you now see on the corner of Beach Road and Iron Bridge Road. Our Chesterfield team is excited to get to know you to learn more about how they can meet your financial needs.

At Chesapeake Bank, we do things different. Yawn. Booooring. Click to a new page immediately. We get that. But maybe you’ve got nowhere to be, you have a minute to get curious, and you humor us, asking “how different?” Different enough that in 1968 we put a bank on a boat for the local watermen. Different enough that we took the word national out of our name because our customers aren’t “national” – they’re people. And hold on to your windbreakers for this one: so different we remember your name. “Wow, you guys really are different.”

Thank you, that means a lot. But here’s the kicker: we’ve never really tried to be all that different. It’s just something we are. People that help people. Maybe it’s something in the water? Or maybe “different” is just The Chesapeake Way.
