About Us
The mission of the Finance Department is to ensure that the City of Petersburg’s financial resources are protected through sound financial management and fiscal integrity, including the allocation of resources consistent with community goals while providing timely, accurate, and reliable information that will assist in making informed decisions for the benefit of the city.
The Finance Department provides a variety of financial services to residents, city council, and city staff. Services include accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, grants management, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and special financial analysis.
