About the Role:
We’re looking for a compassionate, motivated, and client-focused individual to join My Foot Guy, a foot health-focused business led by a Board-Certified Pedorthist. In this part-time role, you’ll help clients find relief from foot, knee, hip, and back pain using custom-fit orthotics, compression supports, compression socks, and other wellness products. You’ll receive hands-on training in foot assessment tools and techniques so you can confidently recommend solutions that help people move and feel better.
This is a perfect opportunity for someone with a background in health, wellness, personal training, athletic retail—or simply a passion for helping others feel their best.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and build rapport while learning about their pain, symptoms, and activity level
- Assist clients with custom-fitting over-the-counter orthotics, compression gear, socks, and braces
- Use a 3D foot scanner and manual tests to assess foot structure and alignment (training provided)
- Educate clients on product use and foot health basics in a clear and friendly way
- Maintain a clean, organized space with properly stocked displays
- Accurately process purchases using the POS system
- Look for opportunities to offer complementary solutions based on the client’s needs
- Collaborate with the owner and team to meet sales goals and create a positive, supportive atmosphere
- Qualifications:
- Retail, health, or customer service experience preferred—but attitude and willingness to learn are key
- Background in athletic training, personal training, kinesiology, or healthcare a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Eagerness to learn about foot anatomy, orthotics, and compression therapy
- Ability to handle multiple clients and tasks in a dynamic environment
- Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn a POS system
- Must be available to work Thursday through Sunday from 10 AM – 6 PM
What You’ll Gain:
- In-depth training in pedorthic and foot health solutions
- Hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools like 3D foot scanning
- Opportunity to grow with a supportive, mission-driven small business
- The chance to make a real difference in people’s lives through comfort, education, and personalized care
